The Path to Healthier Skin

What is laser resurfacing?
Skin resurfacing with a laser is a modern method where the upper layers of the skin are treated with light pulses. At the same time, heat is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin, which stimulates collagen growth. A protective coating is then formed on the skin, which peels off after three to five days, revealing healthier and clearer skin.

Our laser, the Cutera Enlighten, is a highly versatile pico device designed specifically for skin revitalization. It safely and effectively removes tattoos and addresses skin pigmentation issues for all skin types. The enlighten SR technology combines two highly effective wavelengths (532 nm and 1064 nm) and ultra-short picosecond pulses (750 ps), offering a new approach to the fine, effective, and rapid improvement of unwanted pigment and overall skin quality. The additional enlighten Micro Lens Array (MLA) is effective for treating acne scars on all skin types.

How do laser resurfacing treatments work?

The laser creates beams of thermal energy that penetrate deep into the skin. These beams vaporize damaged skin and, by stimulating the body's natural healing process, promote collagen production and cell regeneration, revealing radiantly restored skin.

Is laser resurfacing right for me?

If you have wrinkles around the mouth, eyes, or forehead and are looking for significant rejuvenation and a younger-looking skin, this treatment will provide exceptional results. It can also treat skin conditions, including scars, acne, hyperpigmentation, and pigmentation, such as age spots or sunspots.

What results can I expect?

The results of laser resurfacing are both immediate and gradual. Soon after the treatment, your skin’s surface will feel soft and smooth, look refreshed, and have a more even tone. The following 3 to 6 months will bring further improvement as the deeper layers of the skin continue to produce new collagen.
